My latest catch of clipped planchet coin.
Clip happens at around 6 o'clock of reverse and Blakesley's Effect is quite noticeable at the area opposite of the clipping, at around 12 o'clock. The rim on this area is having some kind of weaknesses and if viewed from side, this area is thinner in its thickness.
Is off-centering is a common phenomenon associated with clipped planchet error?

Salam mnfaj,
Syiling2 error yg dipamirkan semakin "mengancam",syiling 2 in 1 errors ini termasuk dalam spesimen yg sangat sukar diperolehi..depankanta berpendapat off centre dan clipped rim error adalah dua fenomena error yg jarang dijumpai pada satu syiling kerana sebab kejadiannya adalah dengan dua keadaan yg berbeza..nanti pakar2 kita perbetulkan..hehe
Terima kasih banyak2 mnfaj...
Hi mnfaj,
We are not sure whether these 2 in 1 phenomena are common or not.
But we do have a few of these 2 in 1 errors too.
Nice specimen here.
Hehe, nicer if its a '95 50sen coin!
Thanks a lot for sharing, mnfaj :)
Salam mnfaj,
Yes,is always happened, because when the "third Die"/the collar die trying to hold the coin in position, due to the clip/inperfection of the coin,it slipped/tergeluncur,hence the off center errors occured.

Salam depankanta,
Hi whycollect,
I believe only Dickson can acquire those keydate coins with errors! Haha.
Hi Mr Dickson,
Yes I also agree with your point. But I have several specimen that does not exhibit major offcentering but with a huge clipping. How about this case?
Those can be hold firmed by the collar die and no slipping will be struck without off-center errors,no milled edge can be happened to a clip error planchet also!
