This is a quarter anna coin from East India Company, dated 1835. I have little information regarding this coin but still I bought it because I am interested in the coat of arm at the obverse of the coin. This is really a circulated coin due to its condition.
On the obverse side of the coin, can you notice the Jawi writing there? I wonder if it spells India but I am not very sure whether it is "ya-nun-ya-alif-ya" (In-ya)or "ya-kaf-ya-alif-ya" (Ik-ya).
