JOHOR KETON TIN CASH COIN SS30

image 1: obverse and reverse of the coin
Again my favourite coin of Johor. I personally prefer this ancient coin in term of its design, rather than our current coin. This coin was discovered via sieving method at the Sungai Johor, Kota Tinggi, Johor. Not many tin coins were found in this good condition, most probably due to harsh effects of environment towards tin - which is a reactive metal. At the obverse of this coin was written in Jawi, "Haza al Masruf" -

المصروف هذا which meant "This is petty money" and at the reverse, "Dar al Johora"
الجوهرى دار  which meant "Of the City of Johor". More information here.

MALAYSIA ERROR COIN DIE CLASH 1 SEN 1988

image 1: obverse of the coin

image 2: reverse of the coin
Hi everyone. Do you notice the ghostly marking of "1" (image 1) and parliament building (image 2) on this coin?

This marking is due to a type of error called die clash error. Die clash error happens when both dies clash each other without a blank planchet between them. This caused the design on the dies being transferred into the opposite die.

Die clash error is a very common error and very seldom hold premium. But nevertheless still is one of my favourite type of error coin to collect. This is because my first error coin collection is a specimen of die clash error. Refer here in my old post.
