Showing here the latest set of Malaysia's coin, dated 2010. Some says that next year there will be new design for our coin. For me the current design is too simple, they should improvise it by designing more attractive coins.
This is a quarter anna coin from East India Company, dated 1835. I have little information regarding this coin but still I bought it because I am interested in the coat of arm at the obverse of the coin. This is really a circulated coin due to its condition.
On the obverse side of the coin, can you notice the Jawi writing there? I wonder if it spells India but I am not very sure whether it is "ya-nun-ya-alif-ya" (In-ya)or "ya-kaf-ya-alif-ya" (Ik-ya)..
